Ephatha

Our organization is based in Lille-Fives and operates a shop dedicated to selling secondhand clothing, collected for the benefit of the association and sorted by our team. Our solidarity thrift store is open to everyone and promotes the value of local secondhand shopping at affordable prices, making it accessible even to those with the most modest budgets. Sales from the thrift store fund the association and our second space, the Ephatha solidarity café. This café, located upstairs, welcomes people experiencing precarity and/or suffering from isolation, offering them a warm and friendly meal, a snack, an activity, or an outing. The association thus fights both textile pollution, an urgent environmental issue, and extreme poverty and social exclusion. Our volunteer roles therefore involve either working in the solidarity café or managing the thrift store as part of a team. Volunteering at Ephatha means joining a very warm team, taking action for solidarity and ecology, while also developing new skills, building confidence, and expressing your creativity!
