Entraide Scolaire Amicale La Roche-sur-Yon

Friendly School Support is a non-profit association registered under the 1901 French law, recognized as serving the public interest and approved by the Ministry of National Education, whose mission is to work towards academic success for all students. Founded over 50 years ago on a model of mutual aid and local solidarity, ESA's mentoring work across all of France enabled the organization to support more than 5,000 students from elementary through final year of secondary school last year. In La Roche-sur-Yon, our work is based on comprehensive academic support, which takes the following forms: • Individual support with a volunteer visiting the child's home at least once per week throughout the school year • Parental support within the framework of this home-based accompaniment and through collective initiatives (outings, meetings, parent cafés, etc.) • Activities promoting openness to the world through cultural outings and group workshops.
