Our park welcomes over 180 domestic and exotic animals. Most of them have been rescued, as they were abandoned, mistreated, or seized by court order. A sanctuary where animals are cherished. Founded in June 2006 by Françoise COULET, Edentara is a non-profit association under French law, which rescues animals from all backgrounds, both domestic and exotic species, that come from abandonment or seizures. The name of this small wildlife park references Eden: Paradise... in this case, that of animals, and Tara from the name of the mythical estate in "Gone with the Wind," as well as a tribute to Jean-Louis Etienne's boat which travels the globe to understand climate evolution and analyze marine biodiversity.
