Founded in 1974, ECTI is the first French association dedicated to skills volunteering for active retirees. Initially focused on international cooperation, the association has expanded its scope to support French businesses, local authorities, education and the social and solidarity economy both in France and internationally. ECTI has been recognized as serving the public interest since 1990. It meets the criteria of general interest, national reach, democratic operation and financial stability.
