We are Echolalie Production, an association based in Paris. For more than ten years, we have been running projects targeting specific beneficiaries across several cities: adolescents hospitalized in day psychiatric hospitals throughout France, and children with disabilities living in specialized care facilities. We work with young people experiencing psychological distress, who are out of school and have very low self-esteem. We invite them to restore their self-image and reconnect with their potential within a secure framework of artistic creation. This experience gives them the opportunity to rebuild relationships with their loved ones, often strained by their condition or hospitalization, and to find their way back into society. Our projects are an experience for both participants and institutions. The idea is to explore artistic creation as a tool for rehabilitation and revaluation. What is ordinarily chaotic and rejected can become a deliberate choice and find its form.
