Friendly School Support has a mission to support students experiencing academic difficulties when their families are unable to help them or arrange for help. Volunteers at the branch support students living in the district. They also live or work in the district to minimize travel time. The volunteer visits the student's home for one hour per week throughout the year, excluding school holidays as a rule. They build the student's confidence, work on their difficulties and gaps in knowledge, and regularly communicate with the parents.
