Diaconat Protestant de Nantes

The Protestant Diaconate of Nantes, and its Mutual Aid branch, welcomes, supports and accommodates people in situations of vulnerability and precarity, mainly exiled persons, through several initiatives: - the team welcomes people during two weekly drop-in sessions and offers social, legal and financial support. - food distribution takes place every two weeks and enables 150 families to receive food items and essential goods. The association places particular emphasis on the integration of people: - through French language learning, which is a primary component: French classes are provided to approximately 130 learners at all levels (beginner to advanced) - through accommodation: 80 people per year through various arrangements (emergency housing, rental intermediation, solidarity housing) and mentoring of housed individuals. - through job placement support for people - through participatory workshops, festive or social events The association carries out these various activities thanks to the support of many volunteers. Their involvement can be regular or occasional depending on the roles.
