The Haute-Savoie Departmental Handisport Committee is a sports association operating under the auspices of the FFH (French Handisport Federation). The handisport movement serves people with motor, visual, and/or hearing disabilities. The mission of the Haute-Savoie Departmental Handisport Committee is to promote and develop handisport activities for leisure or competition throughout the department. The goal is to facilitate access to sports practice for all. Today, Handisport in Haute-Savoie comprises 450 members distributed across 17 handisport clubs. The Handisport Committee 74 organizes discovery days, initiation workshops, promotional events, and sports competitions. Furthermore, for several years, the Committee has decided to direct part of its activities toward developing programs for young disabled athletes or future disabled athletes in the department. To this end, it has created two youth sports schools. All of this with the aim of developing new Handisport practices for everyone.
