Cœur Solidaire du Haut Chablais is a local charitable organization dedicated to combating food insecurity while pursuing food waste reduction. Drawing on the Garot Law, enacted in 2016 to encourage the redistribution of unsold food, the association collects groceries from various partners, including supermarkets in the region. These products, which would otherwise be discarded, are carefully sorted and redistributed as food baskets to people experiencing hardship in the Haut Chablais community. Each week, volunteers commit to collecting, organizing, and distributing these baskets, ensuring regular support for those most in need. The organization plays a crucial role in providing concrete assistance to families while raising local awareness about the importance of combating food waste. Through its work, Cœur Solidaire du Haut Chablais helps create a network of solidarity and sharing, strengthening social bonds within the communes of Haut-Chablais.
