Rotaract is a worldwide movement created in 1968 to enable people to work together in service of others. We bring together young people aged at least 18 to develop and support various initiatives in a spirit of goodwill, exchange ideas with local decision-makers, develop our professional skills and leadership abilities. Our motto is "friendship through service" and our 7 focus areas are: - Building peace and preventing conflict, - Preventing and treating disease, - Ensuring access to water, sanitation and hygiene for all, - Guaranteeing the health of mothers and children, - Fighting illiteracy and enabling education for all, - Improving local economic development, - Working to protect the environment.
