Rotaract is a worldwide movement created in 1968 to enable people to act together in service to others. We bring together young people aged 18 and over to launch and support various initiatives in a spirit of goodwill, exchange ideas with local decision-makers, develop our professional skills and leadership abilities. Our motto is "friendship through service" and our 7 focus areas are: - Building peace and preventing conflicts, - Preventing and treating diseases, - Ensuring access to water, sanitation and hygiene for all, - Safeguarding the health of mothers and children, - Combating illiteracy and enabling education for all, - Improving local economic development, - Working to protect the environment.
