Cercle Paul Bert Rennes

With its 13,000 members, Cercle Paul Bert is France's second-largest multi-sport club and the largest association affiliated with the French League for Education. Governed by the 1901 law, it was recognized as a public utility organization in 1932 and builds its action on the values it defends: secularism, democracy, and solidarity. It constructs its identity through an educational and social project serving everyone. It is a place of meeting and exchange, of pleasure and conviviality. It is an engaged place, an actor of social transformation for a more solidary society. It is a place of learning and the exercise of democracy. It is a place of production of social wealth that distinguishes it from commercial production. Its sports and sociocultural projects combine humanistic values with modern values of efficiency and competence. It is through complementarity and cooperation between volunteers and employees that Cercle pursues its mission.
