Bross'Up is a Social Enterprise for Employment based in the Brosses à la Poudrette neighborhood. Within our social enterprise, we develop activities that are useful to the neighborhood, non-competitive, and based on the skills and expertise of our employees. Our employees are characterized by living in the Brosses, a Priority Policy District (disadvantaged urban area), and were previously unemployed for at least one year. To date, we have 57 employees, 52 of whom were previously unemployed. We implement the following activities: manufacturing furniture and accessories through the reuse of wooden pallets; plant rescue and resale; clothing alterations and tailoring; small support services for elderly people; gathering and sharing information directly with residents; a community services counter. These activities are largely connected to the circular economy, ecological transition, reuse, and social and solidarity-based economics.
