Banque alimentaire du Bas-Rhin

The Lower Rhine Food Bank has been working on behalf of the most disadvantaged for nearly 40 years. Thanks to its 150 volunteers, 30 employees in professional integration programs, and 7 permanent staff members, the Lower Rhine Food Bank collects, sorts, stores, and distributes food daily to its 100 partner associations, social grocery stores, and community action centers in the Lower Rhine region. 2,088 tonnes of food were distributed in 2025, equivalent to nearly 5 million meals for over 65,000 people supported in the Lower Rhine. The National Collection in November is the major event for Food Banks. In the Lower Rhine, we collect nearly 300 tonnes of food over 3 days, representing approximately 12% of what we distribute throughout the entire year.
