The Food Bank of Burgundy, a non-profit association, has the mission of combating food waste and restoring human dignity. It collects unsold food products from large and medium-sized retailers as well as French and European agri-food surpluses. It is one of the 79 Food Banks of the French Federation of Food Banks. Operating at the regional level, the Food Bank of Burgundy, with its 250 volunteers, 11 employees and 186 partner associations, serves Côte-d'Or (21), Nièvre (58), Saône-et-Loire (71) and Yonne (89).
