Banque Alimentaire de Bordeaux et de la Gironde

The activity takes place within the Food Bank of Bordeaux and the Gironde (BABG), a humanitarian association whose main missions consist of: • combating food waste (approximately 4,300 tons distributed each year), • contributing to food assistance for the most disadvantaged (over 22,000 people assisted each week in the Gironde, via 126 partner associations or social organizations located throughout the Gironde territory), • promoting social and professional integration for people in difficult circumstances. This activity is carried out thanks to a team of "Orange Vests" made up of 250 volunteers, 14 employees, 5 civil service workers, and also skilled sponsors.
