Association Initiatives Citoyennes Nouvelles

The New Citizen Initiatives association (ICN) has the mission of contributing to the academic success of children and adolescents in difficulty by offering them tutoring sessions at solidarity rates. Our activities are primarily aimed at students from priority neighborhoods or modest families who are facing academic challenges. Each week, we support an average of 120 children from primary to middle school, thanks to the involvement of 30 volunteers (teachers, students, retirees, SNS volunteers, civic service volunteers and contractors). Association objectives: Promote equal opportunity in school. Offer individualized academic support. Develop student confidence and autonomy. Encourage civic engagement through educational volunteering. Main activities carried out: Weekly tutoring sessions (French, mathematics, etc.). Fun and educational workshops (reading, writing, oral expression, arts, digital skills, etc.). Intensive remedial courses during school holidays. Cultural and educational outings (museums, theater, library). Family awareness and support regarding school monitoring.
