The association's primary purpose is to develop knowledge and social, economic, and cultural recognition, as well as the housing models of Romani families and Travellers. To this end, it works to promote their access to rights, support them in fostering the emergence and implementation of adapted housing projects, economic activities, and other improvements to their living conditions. Adept has been working with Romani people and Travellers since 1969 and has developed diverse social integration initiatives. Accredited as a Social Centre by the Family Allowance Offices of Seine-Saint-Denis, Paris, and Val-de-Marne in 2023, it supports over 1,000 registered individuals and operates at living sites through mobile social centres, as well as through its housing department aimed at improving living conditions for families. Adept relies on a team of 23 employees.
