Association Départementale d'Entraide des Personnes Accueillies en Protection de l'Enfance de la Réunion (ADEPAPE 974)

ADEPAPE 974 is part of a long history of child protection evolution as a legal association, and its work has been highlighted by the developments brought about by the Taquet law as well as new provisions regarding support for young adults. Faced with sometimes alarming findings regarding difficulties in accessing education or employment integration, social isolation, and life trajectories marked by already fragile health among young people and adults from the child protection system, ADEPAPE creates opportunities to build connections, provide non-institutionalized emergency assistance, and work in complementarity with existing services while engaging in advocacy and monitoring necessary for the participation of those directly affected. The association offers regular meetings and support services, partnership liaison, solidarity gatherings, academic support, assistance during key life moments, access to leisure activities, and above all, support for citizenship through the creation of a peer network that gradually becomes involved in various institutions and organizations.
