The association's purpose is to: a) Support individuals questioning whether they have an ASD: - Listen to their needs, - Guide them toward the most appropriate avenues of exploration in response to their stated and understood needs, - Refer them to relevant professionals. b) Support caregivers: - On a human level, - In terms of skills development, - On an administrative level. c) Support individuals with ASD: - Identify their profile, - Communicate together about specificities and related needs, - Identify challenges and obstacles encountered, imposed and experienced due to society, - Propose and adapt compensation strategies to enable them to achieve their maximum capacity for autonomy. d) Support professionals: - Create connections and establish relationships within the ABF professional network. e) Disseminate important information: - Share news from key stakeholders in the ASD field and related areas. f) Raise awareness about ASD and related matters among the general public.
