The child-parent reception center (Laep) is a space that contributes to child development and socialization while supporting parents in their parenting role. It is designed to welcome children from birth until age six, accompanied by their parent or a trusted adult (grandparents, etc.). It constitutes a friendly play space for children and a place for exchange among parents, prospective parents, or trusted adults. The center aims to strengthen and support the relationship between children and parents, prevent parental isolation, and optimize the well-being and development of both child and parents. As the first socialization setting for children, it prepares them for separation from their parents and for life in a collective environment. It enables an early approach to parenting based on listening and dialogue. The association 3 Ptits Tours has developed an itinerant Laep over the past year. The two professionals (early childhood educators) travel to areas closest to the population in rural zones in order to offer a proximity-based service, thus minimizing travel distances while also reducing the social isolation inherent to the geographic situation of families.
