With nearly 340 members, the Association of Petty Officers of Lower Normandy (AOM-BN) stands as an essential pillar of the regional maritime community. Affiliated with the National Federation of Petty Officers (FNOM), it works to pass on knowledge, foster solidarity, and maintain the bond between generations of sailors. Led by Christophe Courroussé, the AOM-BN pursues action that is both faithful to the legacy of the French Navy and resolutely forward-looking. It cultivates values of loyalty, service, and cohesion, embodying the brotherhood of arms beyond active service. The association is a genuine bridge between active sailors and veterans. Through gatherings, mentoring, and ceremonies, it ensures that the experience of senior members illuminates the path for younger ones. Solidarity is also at the heart of its mission: the AOM-BN provides concrete support to the wounded, families, and the sick, actively participating in mutual aid initiatives. Each member of the board commits discreetly, yet effectively, to upholding these values in daily practice.
