Since 1974, the Artisans du Monde movement has embodied fair trade in service of human rights and the planet. Carrying a vision of society that is resolutely solidaristic and open to the world, around a hundred Artisans du Monde associations, guaranteed fair trade, implement three complementary courses of action daily: - education and awareness-raising about the dominant global system, its consequences and alternatives; a popular education movement recognized by the French Ministry of Education - the sale of products guaranteed fair trade respecting the principles of fair pricing, transparency, valuation of expertise and craftsmanship, defense of cultures, decent work, respect for biodiversity, popular education, and democratic governance - advocacy and civic mobilization to make fair trade the norm and to demand that all economic actors change their practices and finally respect human rights and ecosystems
