Today in France, precariousness, exclusion, discrimination, and inequality are daily realities for millions of citizens. These realities are also experienced by people with disabilities and their loved ones, compounded by prejudice and particular difficulties reinforced by the current context. Yet living "like everyone else," freely choosing one's lifestyle, participating in civic life and being active participants in it is simply what people with disabilities and their loved ones desire. Nevertheless, people with disabilities do not want to fight exclusively for themselves: they propose to work towards a society open to everyone, with all people, whether or not affected by exclusion, sharing the desire for a different model of "living together."
