Our association brings together people with disabilities, their families, and able-bodied individuals. A pioneer in the field of disability, the association was created in 1933 by four young people with poliomyelitis who faced a society in which nothing was planned or adapted for them. Outraged by this exclusion and wanting to break the isolation of people with disabilities, they created their own solutions and services, encouraging people with disabilities to do the same, to 'risk the impossible' according to the motto of one of the young founders, André Trannoy. Founded on humanistic values of respect, openness, and solidarity, promoting equality and living together, we have been working for 90 years: defending the rights of people with disabilities and their families, fighting against the discrimination and prejudice they face, combating isolation, supporting them daily in all areas of life (accessibility, education, employment, health, etc.), throughout France. Our actions could not be implemented and developed without public generosity. Thanks to it, each year we support thousands of people in every department.
