Today in France, precarity, exclusion, discrimination, and inequality are daily realities for millions of citizens. These realities are also experienced by people with disabilities and their loved ones, compounded by prejudices and particular difficulties reinforced by the current context. Yet living "like everyone else," freely choosing one's lifestyle, participating in civic life and being active members of society—this is simply what people with disabilities and their loved ones desire. However, people with disabilities do not want to fight exclusively for themselves: they propose to work toward an open society for all, together with all people, whether affected by exclusion or not, who share the desire for another model of "living together."
