For over 30 years, AMPIL (Mediterranean Action for Social Inclusion through Housing) has championed the cause of people facing housing insecurity, and has expanded its activities to include: refugee reception, slum clearance, address registration for homeless individuals, shelter for isolated women or victims of violence who are pregnant or have young children, and combating the digital divide. The organization is also certified as a "Social Purpose Real Estate Agency." It supports households in accessing their rights, healthcare, and housing, inspects housing suspected of being substandard or uninhabitable, conducts social and technical assessments of co-owned buildings, participates in preventing payment defaults, and develops rescue plans.
