ADAVA Pays d'Aix advocates for a holistic approach to mobility and calls for a new public space policy that promotes active transportation and public transit while reducing the dominant role cars play today. ADAVA Pays d'Aix is an association dedicated to promoting cycling as an alternative mode of transport to the car. It operates bike repair workshops in Aix, Pertuis, Lambesc, Bouc Bel Air, Les Pennes-Mirabeau and others in development. We recycle bicycles recovered from waste centers or donated by individuals (1,000 in 2023) and resell them at low prices (€50). We have many other activities (see our website adava.fr). Volunteers would participate in the association's highly active life: welcoming members at the workshop, mechanical work with ADAVA's professional mechanics in Aix and five other workshops, assisting with adult cycling classes, traffic counts, cycling social gatherings, cycling festivals and other events, etc.
