The Colmar Rescue and Safety Association (ACSS) has as its main mission the promotion of civil safety and rescue services in the Colmar region. Its main activities are as follows: 1. First aid training: ACSS offers first aid training open to all (individuals, businesses, schools, etc.). These training programs include PSC, Life-saving gestures, First aid team training, BNSSA and BSB certifications. 2. Event support: The association provides teams of first aiders to ensure safety during public or private events (sporting competitions, festivals, local celebrations, etc.). 3. Risk prevention: ACSS raises public awareness of domestic, occupational, and natural hazards by organizing prevention campaigns and educational workshops. 4. Training and coaching athletes who participate in aquatic rescue competitions at regional and national levels. These activities aim to strengthen citizen safety by preparing for and responding to high-risk situations. During the 2023-2024 season we trained 498 people across 55 training sessions ranging from 2 to 35 hours of instruction and we had 591 members.
