Accords

At Accords, our mission is to provide voluntary support through listening to people suffering from serious, progressive illnesses, facing advanced age, or nearing the end of life. We believe that every ill person should be supported, surrounded, accompanied, and helped to live fully until death, regardless of their choices regarding their end of life. Guided by concern for fraternity, dignity, and truth, we are driven by values of respect and solidarity. We are independent of any religious, political, or philosophical movement. We act with respect for the thoughts and opinions of each person we accompany, respect for their privacy, discretion, confidentiality, and absence of interference in their care. Our volunteers are welcomed in 8 healthcare facilities in the Aix region with which we have signed volunteer agreements. Accords receives support from the city of Aix-en-Provence and the French Society for Palliative Care and Support.
