Mission description

Visit people lacking social connection, often at their homes, simply to be present and listen. The organization has nearly two centuries of experience in structured home visits. The well-established system supports both visitors and volunteers when relationship difficulties arise. Visits are done in pairs, typically lasting around an hour. Regularity is important—for example, weekly at the same time—and commitment is long-term.
