The international festival 'Le Frisson qui vient' is dedicated to horror cinema, particularly what we call frisson cinema: cinema that frightens without gore, based on atmosphere, off-screen action, and subtlety, daring and innovative. The first edition is scheduled for April 2027 at the medieval castle of Montfort-sur-Risle (Eure, Normandy) and a local cinema complex. But Le Frisson qui vient is also a work of art itself. Temporary exhibitions, transmedia creations, treasure hunts, posters, creepypastas and other surprises—we want to invest online and festival territory year-round to make this an ambitious gathering.
