I help valorize the Savoyard language by participating in mapping place names from Savoy's linguistic heritage

Mission description

The Savoyard Language Institute—Francoprovençal of Savoie works to valorize and transmit the Savoyard language through cultural, scientific, and educational projects. We are seeking a volunteer cartographer to join the Toponymy Commission. The goal is to create, update, and improve maps highlighting place names (toponyms), their locations, and histories. The volunteer can also contribute to other projects based on their skills and interests. No need to speak Savoyard! This mission is ideal for those wishing to develop GIS experience and expand their network.
